I have been using the whole house filter for years and love it. I had no problems changing the filter one a year. It really does make your water taste much better.

First, your instructions advises us to hook a garden hose up to the filter to purge it. Your filter does not have a garden hose connection. The threading is wrong. I have installed the filter in our home and after reinstalling, six times, it still leaks. I've used plumbers tape as instructed. Does not work! Very disappointed in this product. Will not buy it anymore.

Rating Disappointed after several decades

My husband and I have been very happy with these filters for over thirty years until last spring. We order one then and he installed it like he has done over ten times. We noticed within a few weeks a problem with faucet strainers filling up with small carbon particles, and when we looked closer found them in the bathtub, sinks, and washing machine. At first he insisted that it would clear up, but it never did. When we contacted customer service to get it replaced, we were told the best they could do was to shipped up a new one at cost plus shipping and handling, or send us a free downline small filter to stop the particle. That, of course, we would have to pay a lumber to install. When we asked why they did not feel it appropriate to simply send us a new one for free, and why they would not want this one back to examine for quality control, we were informed that we had waited past the warranty period (apparently less than three months) to report the problem, and that they had not had enough similar compalints to make it worth an investigation on their part. My husband had previously written a very positive review, but when he attempted to post one about this problem it never showed up. Hopefully mine will. For obvious reasons we will probably never buy another filter from Water Marque.

I can't thank you enough for this whole house water filter. I've had one for years, but hadn't replaced it in a long time. There is NOTHING out there on the market that comes close to the performance OR price of this thing.

I have had a whole house water filter for about 30 years and enjoyed the chlorine-free water for drinking, cooking and especially for showering and laundry. I am a chemist and know that toxicity of chlorine. I think every household should have a whole house filter to remove chlorine and unwanted organics such as pesticides. I have been happy with the product and recommend it to anyone.
